1) Let in natural light...

There is no substitute for natural light. It not only benefits our health and well-being, but it also affects how colors appear. Always look at the light in your room before you decorate it. South-facing rooms benefit from the maximum amount of light whereas north-facing will be darker, therefore, paint colors can seem a completely different hue in one room to another.

2) Go Green...

It’s natural to have desire for green open spaces for a homeowner. It’s also an important factor to consider when buying a house. Before making the purchase stroll around the locale to see its surroundings, trees, other homes and landscape. The green and open environment around the house can greatly affect its desirability, for you and future buyers. Prioritize location with beautiful views and great environment for the kids to grow up in. Similarly, topography is also important as the house on the highest point in the area is good for drainage and usually has a good view.

3) Take the long view…

One of the most important factor while choosing location for home is the view. The space which you live in should have good enough natural light and proper air. Also, you should check how the air flows from various angle. So when you look at property, check if some other buildings are blocking the air and lighting or not. Which side the terrace or balcony faces and the view outside.

4) Public Transit...

The length of time it takes you to get to work or back home can be a determining factor in your decision to move to a new home. The decision of considering a certain property as a perfect home may be based on this factor alone. Some residential areas offer a nearby reliable network of public transportation. You might want to consider buying a home there, even if you own a car. Not only will this save you the time and stress of driving to and from work, but it’ll also help you save on gasoline consumption and car maintenance and most significantly, the health safety.

5) Health is Wealth...

Nearby healthcare facilities are always an important factor to consider when looking for your perfect home. If you have young children in the family, you probably know that they fall sick very often and require recurring medical attention. Choose an area with a reliable and nearby hospital, polyclinic, or healthcare center; this will ensure you can get the immediate help you need in case of emergencies.

We, at The Interior Garage hope that you find you cozy little space you always dreamed of..
